Roger has sent home his first letter. It was a form letter with 2 sentences at the bottom. His new correct address is:

Roger swearing in

Roger swore in on Monday, November 17th. He left for Great Lakes, Illinois a few hours later. The only thing that he can get while at bootcamp is letters. No gifts of any kind. He will be there for 8-9 weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Every one who has been throught this says that the only thing that kept them going was letters from home. Please write him.

Early Thanksgiving Dinner

We will be having an early Thanksgiving dinner on November 15th because Roger is leaving for Navy Basic on the 16th. He will swear in on November 17th at Nashville. He will be gone for 8 weeks with very limited contact with us during the holidays.

The dinner will be Saturday, November 15th at 3 pm.
